yes i have had luck with them and it works good. just make sure and get the real stuff. not the knock off black paint with sand in it. a dented bed floor is always better than a rusted holey bed floor. just dont do this to it. i seen this at a stop light the other day. i couldnt help but snap a picture of it. i wonder what he carries on it.

and yes it is welded directly to the roof. i wonder if he hauls a john boat and has no back glass so he has a place for the motor to go. haha

bad part is is i have a car just like this for a little daily beater and gas saver and parts go getter. minus the roofrack and bumper stickers etc. lol and mine is the much sportier 2 door version. lmao

I you must keep the bed liner, notch it, or better yet, cut the whole lip off. I would use a dremel tool or a jig saw with a fine blade. But, as others have said, the drop in bed liners are a sure way to loose your bed to rust. The vibration causes the paint to come off, then trapped water starts the rust. You should at least pull that liner to see what is underneath.

which paint on bedliner is good? the reason i like my drop in liner is because it protects the bed rail and is smooth and stong so you can push stuff around in it but you are right about the rust. i guess i'll just have to loose it.

can have a shop do it for $159 here in ga i got mine rhino lined a couple of 4 years ago and it has yet to peal or start to come up.... and i through alot of tools and lawn mowers and what not back there....

damn, not bad. i called a place that we deal with and they're charging $275 under the rail or $375 over. thats with a hook up.

if there goin to charge that much then just go buy the supplies and do it yourself and get to keep the spray gun that you have to use and you get to keep extra product not used plus the experience. we got everything for under 300 bucks including the gun, paint, and red scotch bright to scuff it up with. i did the entire floor of the cab in a 4-door f-250 and still had alot of paint left over. its easy to do. just scuff it up with the scotch bright. wash it up. tape it off and spray. lay it down heavy and close for the first 2 or 3 coats. then hold the gun back away from the floor for the last coat so it spackles alot right out of the gun giving it a good durable texture.

Dropping $200-400 one time is a good security deposit on knowing later on you won't have to replace your rusted out bed and buy a new one and repaint it and install it and spend way more later on just because you're too cheap (or broke or vice versa) to do it now.

well, this is my beater truck, thats why i'm trying not to spend too much. as for the spray gun, i already have one but what brand liner do you guys recomend?
