Here's a couple better shots. It took me an entire long weekend to prep, paint and finish everything, all outside in my driveway lol. I used Duplicolor Grabber Green Engine Enamel, and Duplicolor Truck,Van & SUV enamel black, and topped it off with Motomaster Clearcoat in a rattle can. I then wetsanded the truck about 3 times with 1500 grit sandpaper and put on a 1/4" grey vinyl pinstripe to seperate the colours.

These pics are all 2 to 4 months after it was painted.

crazymikey: that paint job is excellent. i would never have thought you could get a finish as good as that with an aerosol can.

i'm painting my truck at the moment. the paint has been letting it down for a while so i'm trying to do it properly and spend plenty of time and dough on it. stripped it to metal and am using house of kolor.
first time using quality paint so i've learnt alot. it's still a while away til it's done, still need to find some 4x4 sheet metal for it and the bed is dinged up pretty bad.

sorry, that's all pretty OT, so...

if you like the flat/satin/suede look of primer but want the durability of a full paint system alot of companies have brought out flattening agents for mixing with their clears.
i wanna test it out over some paint that you'd never see flat. like pearl and flake. could look pretty good. if i do i'll post some pics

HUGE TIP IF YOU USE RATTLE CANS (I WOULD STILL GO THE PRINCESS AUTO SPRAY GUN ROUTE) (OH AND TREMCLAD WORKS GREAT, OR THE IMITATION STUFF AT CAN TIRE JUST THIN IT OUT) BUY ONE OF THE SPRAY CAN HANDLE/TRIGGER COMBOS. iT'LL SAVE YOUR FINGER AND REDUCE SPRAY AND DRIPS. i DID MY TRUCK ONCE AND MY FINGER TIP WAS NUMB FOR DAYS
