im planning on starting to do a body drop on my 87 mazda tomorrow and was wondering if you guys have any tips or tricks that might not be shown in the tech write up section. i have a set of 18 infinity wheels like devs. (assuming he still runs them) but i have heard they are hard to tuck just bagging it. was wondering what troubles i may have doing a body drop with these wheels also. any info would be great thanks guys

what the size on the rims 7.5 8.0 8.5 and so on if its bigger than a 8.5 you will have to really work at it maybe use 4x4 fenders and a 4x4 bed

yeah i am running 18's and a thicker tire with a 2 1/2 inch body drop....fenders no good....but i am gonna roll mine or get a lil creative...youll see sooner or later!!!! but yeah i can air the bags up n down and not catch the fender till a inch oor two of tuckage.....but theres about 5 more to find room with....

im in the process of my BD now actually....

my only tip would be to cut the core and fender support loose and then they are out of the way till you get the frame horns and bumper brackets lowered.

Happy cutting

you gotta think 3 steps ahead whenever you cut something. before you cut something like for instance the back cab, think how is the interior panels gonna fit back on here? what will i have to trim? did i just cut off a mounting tab thats important? dont just cut and make it fit. you will find later in the reinstall phase you will run into eff ups where you ruined a mount or something is in the way and it will piss you off. thats my lil input.

yeah i made a few bad cuts..but i fixed my f-ups so its ok...but yeah you must plan this out...like he ^^^ said its not just cut now worry later....there is alot to it thats for sure...

i can honestly say that i am doing the body drop on my truck a little different than others...i am doing it my way....so i dont have to follow rules...directions...ive always been like that....lol

its all in planning and knowing what is to come in the future of the project...like a game of chess.....
