Hey guys. I REALLY would like to get the look of some of the 70s mini trucks on my build.

What am I looking at for a courier swap, or an old yota/nissan?

Am I so far out to lunch this could never work? what are width measurements like? If anyone has those that would be awesome. If they are close I'd just try to swap core supports and see what I end up with.

Short of that, what are some suggestions to change the appearance of the front end of my 92 b2200?

Nothing is out of the question with this build BTW.

Not to rain on your parade, but why not just go get the real thing? There's tons of Couriers/B2000s in Alberta. I can think of about 8 off the top of my head within a 15 minute drive of me.

I can even get you a nice clean 84 for $250.

Otherwise, if you're sticking with the B2200, do some round headlights, wood floor, old skool metal dash, just kinda go rat rod, hot rod and old skool at the same time.

Slight chop top, wood bed floor, not much shaved, lots of chrome and trim. Basics. Steel wheels, 70s colours.

I find the 86-93 B's to just be too modern to really make them look old skool. I've seen a couple pull it off, but they still look too new to me. Gotta go with a pre-86 if you want to do old skool for real IMO.

^^ x2
get an older truck if you want an older truck

One thing that really irks me is guys with 88-98 CK's and they put those horrible 50s-60s Chevy front clips on them and make them look like the old trucks but keep the square cab and blah...looks so wrong.

This is the only 86-93 I think that pulls off an old skool look. There's a few others around with the rat rod or unfinished look and whatnot, but I think this one is simple and to the point

at dusk's 1973 b1800 - bitchin truck. needs a chop tho
crazymikey   +1y
lol no that truck does NOT need a chop. I can barely fit in his truck as it is.

you could always do this. And then go die in a fire.

I'm not much on bench seats, but I'm really diggin' it in the cab plus.
