Grille Options

i think you need to do something a little different, to me it seems every one wants to do the fighter plane look...i.e. (dont get mad) mikey,plane jane,you, iv seen others out there as well, why not put a small twist on it and do a bomber theme,that would let it BE THE SAME BUT DIFFERENT at the same time then you would complement mikeys truck and plane jane by being the same theme but different... but do want you want regardless if its been done before as for your grille, theres alot out there man,just start looking around at all the pics and things until you find the one that you like

When your ready to do your rendering we can go through a bunch of ideas for grills and whatever else. Yes it's been done before but you just have to do like mazdaman said and put a lil twist on that bitch and as long as it compliments your theme and still flows with the lines of the truck you will pull it off.

I wasn't trying to say it was. Hell I didn't even know Mikeys had that sorta theme going on in the past and Plane Jane is completely different. Nuff said on that subject I thought this thread was about grills!!! ha

You know what kidbrootal is right this is about grilles. I'm over this shit. My paint job was temporary and now my truck looks the best it has ever. I think my biggest problem is the fact that you are painting you truck "like" (not the same but like it) it was and also ordered the tails and maybe the grille that I have currently. I know I can't help what people order but that's a lot of similarities.
And I know Cody isn't the only person ordering the aussie parts. Seems like the "cool" thing to do. I may have to do a mazda grille with billet inserts so I won't look like everyone else.
I don't get on bscene much anymore so I'm just gonna finish my build somewhere else.

Personally I liked the bomber theme. There's a truck somewhere with the whole sheet metal painted to look like's riveted ands tuff, but it was a finished job. Heck I thought about just a temp Army theme, with a big old Army star on the side, some army decals and stuff. Thought about the old rat rod look as well.

Everything's been done in some way pretty much. So what can we do now? Who's got the next big idea?

hey mikey dont get mad that other people have got ideas from you. be proud that you have thought of something that other people like as well. its not always a bad thing that people take your ideas. like you said though the 3 trucks are similar but not the same i say everyone build there trucks for there self and not for anyone else because thats the only way you will truely be happy with it

i was thinking about it last night and i decided against the courier grille just cause it would look way to similar to your truck mikey. i mean they look cool and all and i seriously thought about doing it but i think i'm gonna go a different direction. this truck will look nothing like yours when its done and i'm planning on painting my truck pink in the future either so you dont have to worry about me copying that. i hope you dont disappear cause your truck is one of my favorite trucks on here. i think i'm leaning towards the phantom grille but they are just so damn expensive.

I just want to chime in because a very similar thing happened in the Ranger world. Does anyone remember when people started putting Brazilian lights on their Rangers? When people see something they like there will be some that will get it if it's easy to obtain and fewer the more difficult it is to obtain. I know there are special things we like about our trucks that stand out and want to be the only one but it can't stay that way forever. Just remember you have done much more extensive mods than ordering a grill and putting it on your truck that they won't be able to duplicate.

I guess I just don't get it when someone gets offended over something and says "I'm going to leave this site" There was another Cody that used to do it all the time. Is it that bad?
