The wood that I use is 1/8" Hardboard also called 1/8" Danish Hardboard. It fits the factory clips perfectly. I'd only use the MDF for buildouts, armrests, or any big parts.

Hahaha, yea you can get some nice household handles if you look around. Some you can't even tell the difference from aftermarket automotive ones. Glad I could help. If you need any more just PM me or I can sell you a kit that comes with the glue that you'll need. The kits still in the design phase but I need the feedback from people about how easy it is to use, how easy it is to follow, anything else that people found they needed, etc. Later.

Alright, I'm going to sell 5 kits @ $50 plus shipping. The only catch is that you have to give me feedback on what you think of the kit and ways to improve it. The kits will take 1 week to get together and will ship at the same time. They will go up for sale next Sunday February 19. I will start a new thread and the first 5 people get a kit. 1 kit will also go up for sale on eBay at 10:00 EST on Sunday February 19. The kits will include the following:

-Templates for either full or 3/4 mazda panels (please specify what you want)
-Templates for panel designs (1 flame, 1 tribal, 1 undetermined)
-Buildout templates for 4", 5 1/4" and 6.5" speakers (please specify what speaker size/s you are using)
-Foam (for full panels only)
-1 Can of upholstry glue
-Materials list
-Tools list
-How to CD (with pictures and text)

If you have any question or comments please submit them in the following week. Also if there is another type of design that you would like to see please let me know. Thanks.

Yes one will be for sale on ebay and start @$20.

You will receive templates to cut out designs and panels yourself. I give you a materials list of what you will need to buy. The materials will cost you about $12-$15 at your local lumber store/home depot/Lowes plus the material you cover it in (est. tweed $20-50, high quality vinyl $20-50, leather $80+).

The design is made of wood so it will never lose its shape.
