Painting Interior Trim

Aight dang it! Let's try this again. I just finished sanding all pieces with 150 grit paper. Cleaned it with just warm water...I'm scared of what type of soap, cleaners etc. now. So I'm letting it all sit over night to totally dry out, inside the building. Also have the paint inside so it can warm up to around 75 degrees as well. (at home it may have been around 50). So now, in the morning, I should be ready to start spraying...of course I'll test the smallest pieces first, then move on to the large stuff if all is good.

Wish me luck! I think it'll be good, as I have sanded all the shiny stuff off so the paint, Krylon Fusion should definitely have something to cling to.

Well I'm on my 2nd go round. I tried to put on the color coat and got a little greedy. The hardest part for me is remembering to do many light coats instead of one thick one!

Yay!!!! Went on great! I only had one lil corner of the speedo surround try to fish eye, but with many light coats applied it disappeared and you can't hardly tell it had any problem at all. I really like the color of red that Krylon used, it's not too bright, more like a blood red I suppose.

Anywho, I'm putting stuff back together today as it dries and I can safely touch it and not leave finger prints. I may actually get it all back together and on the car tonight if all goes well.

I'm gonna call the yard and check and see if I can get the factory tach instrument panel for bout $10. If I can, I'll have it today

Got it all installed! Looks good, just need more red in the cab to help it to "fit in" if ya know what I mean. Which, the center console I'm gonna build will have some red on it, and then later on the door panels and seats will to probably
