^ yes it was! If I remember right that was 10-12 years ago when Lanzar introduced there new Opti Drive amps. I think the subs were Kickers. I might have been wrong on the dB (might have been 148), but I do remember it was not as high as I thought it should be.

Thats for sure. Back then a single 12 was ok, but could not handle much power and not much power was available. Now - 1 JL W7 and 1 amp (with enough available voltage/amperage) and a VERY strong box and you can do some serious damage to your hearing and internals LOL

not to take away from the stereo talk but i wanna make a custom dash and centre console but i dont know wat to do with the heater knobs. what did u do? did u relocate it somehow or take it out?

some guys relocate them into the glove box and make new cables using bike brake cables,or others relocate them under the dash somewhere.

Some crazy guys even do away with it altogether.

I just spent 3 hours today reinstalling my heater controls. What a freakin pain in the ass man. I hate that job. And I know I will have to do it again in the spring when I redo my interior.

I did it the easy way and just set my heater controls to defog and lower heat. Then I took them out but I left the blower control and heat knobs. Set the monitor in the dash and made a new panel. It works awesome and you get enough heat to defog your windshield and enought heat on cold ass days.

Since this pick I've added a backing piece and then shaped the panel to match the dash. Still haven't figured out what to cover it in. Its a 6.4" monitor and you don't even have to cut the dash.
