Could it be as sinple as a dead blower fan ???

Happened to me when I safetied my truck... blower motor was fried and installed a used one.

That could be a possibility.

My truck only blows hot air, even when I have the dial set on freezing cold.

bout what i figered....shit. well which would be cheaper used, switch or blower, im guessin switch., and are th 2 hard to change out? -bf

well, you blower motor is located on the passenger side behind the dash,so you'll have to pull the dash out probably. The switches aren't bad, just if you take out your control panel with the slider switches and you remove the cables, they are a freakin pain in the ass to put back in. I spent 3 hours doing that. I was ready to set the truck on fire.

how do i test the blower and how do i test the panel? i must be missing something here. thank -bf

i dunno, put new ones in and see if they work? lol

I own an 87 and you can access the blower without removing the dash.

As for testing the blower, you can feed 12V juice to it directly and see if it runs. That's what the wrecker did to show me the blower was working..

Good luck!

runnin a hot wire was what my buddy suggestd, then to take care of the prob he suggested hookin it up to a switch if it worked and run my heater from a different switch, he is gona do that with his 96 s10's fuel pump.
thanks guys -bf
