O ya i have the sub bridged to the amp and its pumping out 200w and its only supose to have one sub on it but i was wondering if i could hook up an other one in parrallel with the one i have or would that be too much work for that 1 amp???

thanks in advance

mono or 2ch? just match up the rms
mazda23   +1y
2 ch. the rms is matched with one sub bridged and thats wut its suppose to be 4ohm bridged and i have that. My question is can i add another sub in parrallel without it being too much load on my amp?? does my question even make sence or should i try to reword it??

You could always bridge and run them parallel. thats how I ran my kickers.

my question is will it be too much load on my amp?? I no i can run 2 bridged in parrallel but is it too much for amp to provide?? Will my amp just burn up or gett extremely hot??

upgrade ur fuse and wiring... the added power from the amp will blow the 20A that comes with it...

here is my setup...

which is 2x12" Insignias and an insignia amplifier

the setup IS for sale, 175 bucks...

I looked up specs on your amp and it says:

50x2 @ 4ohm
100x2 @ 2ohm
200x1 @ 4ohm bridged RMS

What's the resistance on your P1 subs? Is it the 4ohm or 8ohm?

In your case if you want to run 2 of them, it would be better if you had the 8ohm subs. You can wire them parallel and get an output resistance of 4ohms, this way you can bridge them and the amp will be fine. If you bridge 2 4ohm subs wired parallel, you're sending a 2ohm load to the amp bridged. It may handle it, but may run a little hot, just be careful

I'd recommend getting another 200.2 and that xtra sub and running an amp to each sub. This will give you the best performance for the sub/amp combo. You will not have to have the amps cranked up either, and it should sound cleaner.

Edit: I really doubt you'll need to upgrade your alternator or anything. 200watts RMS isn't really a lot. My truck has an old MTX amp that pushes in the 250rms range and it's been fine for awhile now. Headlights don't dim at all, and that's even when my viair compressor is running.

well in his case no... my amp made my lights dim, battery die, fuses blow... it sucked

yea that sucks man. In my 1st truck, a 94 B3000, I had this amp that was only 2ohm stable. I didn't know much back then and I wired 2, 2ohm 12's parallel, bridged, which is 1ohm. Amp couldn't handle it, but I thought otherwise My lights would dim at every little hit. Then finally I just wired it in series to give 4ohms. Less power but it actually sounded cleaner and was not that much quieter. I guess it just met the sub's power ratings better or somethin.
