speedo w/ tach cable threading

ok guys there was a post but i cant find it. after ruining 2 speedocables im on my 3rd and i cant member how to do this. one ed goes into the tranny then threadd up thru the firewall then where? i dont wana wit on another speeocable!! thanks -bf

move it as far left as you can (looking at the cluster) and still hook it up. It does not need to be in that little hole in the middle at all

you can use the original cable to plug into a tach cluster right? I'm picking up a tach cluster this weekend. They're plug and play right? Just move the cable over to the left.

Ah well,there's a guy just down the road from me with like 10 Mazdas,but he doesn't like parting them out. He's a part hog. But his truck is sweet,so makes up for being a hog,lol.

Not careful just mindful to put that cable to the left the parts are not all that fragile just that cable will snap if you don't move it over might wont to take a pic so others will now more how to do it

um,i just spent like 5 mins and put the tach cluster in my truck and didn't have to modify or do anything to it. just plugged the harness in and the speedo cable and works fine...

did you move the speedo cable out of the center hole and to the left.
