Any Progress on this? More Pictures!!!!!!!

MORE PROGRESS! Its been LONG time since I've worked on this puppy. I've been too busy lately and all with the new job thats in another city, moving into another house, and repairing things on the truck that are way more important than making it look good.

But now, I finally have some motivation to do more sanding and glassing and finishing her up! I feel this has also been the moment I needed since I need what I need now. Air gauges and engine gauges that I can glass in as well...

Anyone ever notice it would look horribly tacky to glass in air gauges to the a-pillar trim? So I had to resort to doing it this way instead.

Notice that cracked gauge I was talking about?

I'm really hoping that this will turn out well! I'm shooting for them to suave into the dash somewhat like a bullet shape...

Progress will only be made weekly, so don't get impatient, cause I already 'am, lol!

What do you all think so far?

i wish i new how to glass

Its alot easier to do than you think! The challenges are more of how to make a shape with something that needs a mold because it is basically a liquid...

I'll write a techie on it when I do my kicker panels for my 6 1/2" speakers...

Lol, BTW, quick response, eh?

yeh tech would be nice. thats what my problem would be is figuring out how to get the shapes. which i suck at body work anyways. i hate it

Alrighty all, this is my update for this weekend...

These are the gauge pods for the air gauges...

Little disappointed in how the ends came out, the last one I did seperately and it did'nt have a contour like the others. It wont really matter, I guess...

What do you guys think? I'm okay with the tope gauges the way they are, but I wanted them to go into the dash at a taper.... Eh, you live and learn...

Well, I took a few hours today to mud her up. Shes getting there...

Well guys, call me crazy! The dash is officially in the crapper!

I was tired of sanding, and had too many adhesion issues!

So, when I so graciously pulled the dash from mazdagurl's parts truck, I started over!

BOY, it turned out a heck of alot better, and went 100x faster to complete!

It was a little hard to bite the bullet and throw away all my hard work on the other, but I had a feeling down the road, it would have failed on me!

So, here she is! Took 2 days to complete! 1 day for installing my deck into the dash's, mounting up the tweeters, and switching my harness in so I did'nt have to re-hardwire the deck.

The other day, well, these pic's will almost write me an essay!

Took 2 cans, and sprayed her on THIN. Went on almost like a powder! She is semi gloss the way it is. Which is good, cause I was going to clear it, but I don't want to be blinded driving!

All I have to do now is let her sit tonight, and tomorrow, she is going in! Just in time before the cold really hits, lol! I would be screwed cause I would'nt have any defrost!

What do you guys think of it?

I had problems with it since day one! lol, it was a headache the whole time... I'm sure for what it was, it would have been pretty kick ass. Buuut, I've got a nice twist coming up soon for my interior to help cope with this, lol!
