sweet. your just made my installation so much easier. i installed a new cd player on my mom's volvo a while ago and i dind't have the color codes so it took me a couple hours to take guess and take shit apart and look at colors. i really didn't want to do that with the truck cuz i'm lazy lol

that is some good reference info. but if you dont have anything like that all you need is a volt meter and a double A battery. use the volt meter to find your hot all the time wire, your switch hot wire, and your ground. then touch one speaker wire to each end of the battery and you will here like a little bump or scratchin noise in the speaker when you find the + and - wires to the same speaker. do this for all four or more speakers and then wire them up to your universal cd player wires. all cd players that are bought new or a few years old all have the same color code for the wires coming out of the back.

I installed mine last night before this came up haha. I got it all right the first time with some good educated guessing but I didnt hook up my illumination wire cause I figured the truck didnt have one so I guess I can hook that up now! Thanks!
