ok so i have a cab plus and on the sides behind the front seats there is like a grille in the plastic. its not really a grill but its stock. its actually more like a 6"x6" vent in the panel. anyways, i hope that you guys know what i'm talking about cuz i'm too lazy to go take a picture.

i haven't tried taking the panel off yet to see but i was wondering if there's any reason y that's there. if not, would i be able to install speakers there? if you guys have no idea what i'm talking about i'll go take a pic but i'm hoping someone knows. thanks

On mine, there is a metal 6" round plate there. I assume that is to be removed for speaker placement. My interior is gutted, so if you need pics, let me know.

ya i just took the panel off and have the plate too. maybe they have speakers on some models but just use the same panel. so i guess its a good spot to put speakers. thanks

Speakers are a good idea. Its where I hide my crack, but yeah, speakers. Hadn't thought of that.

Yea both my ex cabs had speakers there I made a plate out of wood and put some 6x9s back there in my old truck. I used the odd shaped metal part for the shape

some models came with speakers back there. the metal block off plate is stamped with a round hole to mount a 6 1/2. mine had them but i had a friend that had the plates like you speak of.
