how hard do you guys think this would be to install? i'm mostly talking about the wiring. does anyone have one of these? how are they?

the hardest part is installing the actuators in the doors. i can take a pic of mine in my doors and give you the wiring colors and where they are located at so the installation will be a breeze. it seems to be a good unit. it has onboard relays to do the actuators so thats a plus. and it has extra channels so you could do some crazy stuff with airride later on.

ok i think i'll get them soon. what happenes if the battery dies? should i have a hidden handle under the or something?

and could you give me a pic of this next time your door panel is off and also give me the wiring codes if its not too much work for you?

if you are only doing keyless then you can use your key in the keyhole to open the door if the battery dies unless you are shaving the locks. ill get the pics up in a day or so. the wiring colors and stuff is no problem, i work at a stereo shop so its no big deal.

Do you want the truth, or should I blow smoke like everyone else?

They f*cking suck.

I have them, and hate them. The actuators wear out over time, so you get the joy of replacing them as they pop your doors less and less. You do have to have a hidden switch somewhere outside, which usually ends up in a hard to reach area, covered in crap from being outside. My damn truck has big ass release buttons cut into the rockers, so anyone can walk up and get in. Dumbest shit I have ever seen. The door parts are a pain in the ass to put in, the wiring sucks.

The only cool part is that you can get rid of the handles and everything else. On my old truck, I shaved everything but the drivers key hole, and liked it much better than having nothing.

I bought my truck, with a dead battery, a closed hood, no key holes and no way in. Think that was fun?
