If want to use this kit for just lock and umlos=ck its great but if you want it to unlatch your door like a shaved door solenoid I would not use this kit. The actuators in the picture are not reliable enough to be opening your doors. Listen to Kirk. If you want to unlatch your doors get at least 11 pound solenoids I personally use Autolocs 35 pound solenoid in all my rigs with shaved doors.

autoloc makes a quick release pull cable in case of emergency, I too hated shaved doors, with my poppers only working sometimes it was fucking gay, had to have my wing window unlocked at all times to reach in

ya i might use is just for the locks. that will be nicer than always having to unlock it.

keyless entry is CAKE.
seeing as you are adding aftermarket actuators...( i can get them to you for 30-40 shipped.
dei actuators p/n 524t ( i use them alot on stock non power lock vehicles.)
all you will have to do is mount the actuators....easier than you think... 1st door is hardest.
run the blue and green actuator wires to the dash (under your steering column) then find constant 12v hot, ignition 12v hot, and a ground
if you want parking lights ( find the parking light wire... (in the column by the light switch)
if you want horn ( in the column as well)
you will need 2 relays or del p/n 451m
the 451m is prewired dl relays.
you can email me and i will give you the wiring info for the relays.
depending on what keyless you are gonna use the lock/unlock wires are more than likely green and blue....honestly.. its cake... i use keyless entry for my shaved door poppers... probably took a total of 20 minutes to install and about 20 minutes of prepping the brain and wiring the relays.

I just wanna use them for unlocking my doors, as I already got the door poppers installed on my truck.

is it worth it?

The actuaters are designed just to lock and unlock your doors. They shouldn't be used to pull your door latch open. If your doors are shaved then there is real no need for you to lock them. The protocal kit is great when used for what it was intended for. I get customers wanting us to use them for their shaved handles and I will refuse to do it.

you can still use a keyless entry to pop your doors open... its how i get into mine... you dont need to "lock" or "unlock" them seeing as you shaved your handles... how are they going to get it... all you arewanting to do is to remotely open your doors.....just use a relay per door to interface with your keyless you are going to install then use some small push buttons switches to open your doors from the inside like i did... i think i spent all of 10.00 from radio shack for 2 relays and 2 push buttons and my dorrs open with keyless and i use the button to open each door independantly if i want or turn off the truck and the driver door automatically pops open (its how i programmed it) not really hard.... just let me know what kind of alarm/keyless you are going to use and i will tell you how to wire it up.
