New seats....

So these are my new seats I picked up. I got them for free and they are pretty nice. Lots of adjustments (including height and lumbar) and they are grey cloth which will match my interior nicely. I don't know if I can make them work yet but I am planning on having to fab up brackets so we will see.

They are out of about a 1999 Saturn SC2.

Here is what the seats look like but mine are in grey cloth not leather like in the pic.



Eventually this will be the install thread for them I just wanted to see what you guys think about them.

Judging by the brackets they are pretty similar to the mazda ones so it might be easy I will get some good measurements soon.

I am thats what I meant by this topic. I just said eventually cause I have other things I need to work on first like my clutch problem so I don't know when I will get around to this but I will soon... Those Mazda seats are killing me lol.

btw,there's nothing wrong with the stock mazda seats

lose the head rests and they'll be pimp. and im with you mikey, i dont see why everyone hates them i think there comfy.

yeah seriously,I'm more comfortable in my Mazda than I am in my Cadillac.

But those Saturn seats are really nice. Def lose the headrests,even with an ext cab.

I don't know I think they're lacking... I guess for me comparing them to my Volvo seats... The main problem is in the back of the seat like the mid area... For longer periods of time they are just hell around there..


I went out for some quick measurements and they are very similar. The Saturn seats are 1" smaller in width and about the same length. The brackets are literally from the rough measurements the same, width and depth. Its pretty amazing how close they were. I still think I'll need spacers in the back to lift it up and inch or two but I guess we will just see.

Oh and me and my friends are having a great debate on how to actually put some form of seating in the back. I don't know what but some sort of bench or even smaller buckets... Just something. Does anyone have a modified rear seat thats better then the pads that come with these trucks? I'm anxious to know what others have done.

some one put the rear (i think 3rd row) seat of a durango back there and said it fit great even posted pics but I cant remember who had them.
As for the stock mazda seats there nice I like them but I like my LX seats better Im gone get them recovered and use them one day.
