knockin'... common in s10's?

carbed or not, that doesn't really matter, that only controls how the engine gets fuel. there's nothin' on a carb that could cause it to knock ya know. have you checked the oil? what kind of know is it, is it real soft, is it loud, when did it start or has it always been there?

its efi btw, and the oil is good, its more like a tap, its kinda soft, it started before i got it, so idk. sounds like its in the last cylinder closest to the firewall... like a rod or somthin...

ANYWAYS... well the knock got worse and um... i think i blew the head gasket. is that a hard thing to repair? would i be able to do that within 3 weeks?
