center console ideas

yea put some up fanninator! this is the idea thread. i searched before starting mine, and not much came up really. so maybe this will help everyone out a lil

*edit* i'm going to wal-mart after work now. have to see if they have what you got, sounds perfect for my needs. and a good excuse to dremel something!

I'll post some pic's tomorrow I got mine done.

The ones in the pictures are 3 inch speaker box ports capped with ABS on the bottom. The next one I build I'm using some aluminum poker table cup holders I got on Ebay for like 10 bucks. Search Ebay for " poker table " and you will find them in all kinds of colors.

Here's mine when it was painted. I just had it covered in leather /w a matching shift boot. I am looking to have some cup holders made for it to match the shifter trim ring.

I need better cup holders, previous owner used wood screws to put in some universal ones and they are horrible.

these are tied into my old sub box housing a type r 10. they also had some waterproof leds wired in there. man i miss this. i loved it.

it's a nice setup. sub looks crazy there! the cupholders were a wedgie right? i bought one after your first post saying walmart had a console thing. i would like to do mine sideways like yours, but the top width is only 7". so looks like I'm going to dremel the little pocket out and glue the two cupholders together closer. or i might buy a 10 pack of the plastic ones from ebay. would anyone be interesting in a pair for a build?

yeah wedged and it had some wood glue but it was just for a little extra strength and the middle pocket has a wood screw with a piece of wood underneith it. -bf
