HELP!!!! moving the deck up to the dash pocket...

i need some help here. ive cut the hole out on the bezel but what do u need to pull out or cut out behind it there seem to be some metal bracing back ther ...?????

Cut the bracing out. Use an Air saw. After that, the air duct for the A/C needs to be trimmed as well. If you don't have A/C you can just remove the duct like I did.

i didnt cut the a/c ducting so it sticks out this much:

When you cut everything out try putting some heat on the duct with a heat gun and slowing push her back a little bit to gain some more room in there .

wow. now that i know whats goin on in the dash i can put mine up there too. i never liked it down low, specially with a 5spd. now i just gotta figure out what to put in the panel on my console.

I did my stereo placement swap based on your pics, cut the same piece of bracing out and the deck sits just like yours...out a little. I just got my Milwaukee Heatgun off eBay yesterday, so looks like I'll pull it apart and see if I can't get it to sit back in there a bit more. If I can't, then I can still live with where it is now, beats the hell out of the stock location
