i installed the whole stereo in kermit, but when it came to cadillac i was in way over my head and didnt want to touch any of it so i had a shop install it.

i dont blame you. it takes a real man to admit when hes "iffy" about something instead of tearing up a perfictly good car.

i can simply install amps subs stereos speaker and all the goods but i dont know quility and crap like that ...... ( how good certain brands and crap are)

its mostly a numbers game. always look at the rms power and the ohm load that the amps can handle. you can have a great amp and great subs, but not work together and you think the brands are junk.

i had top notch components in my cadillac. well, other than my cheap sony deck, i had rockford wiring,4 gauge amp wire,300w fuse, clarion 1500w amp,12" kenwood "swirl" subs, kenwood 4 channel amp etc.

Hit 140.7db at my first spl show.

I have 2 New Phoenix Gold Titanium Amps and 2 10 Inch Diamond Audio subs , with JL Audio Component set up front with a Pioneer N3 Navigation unit to power it . I have since changed the speakers to Rockford P2s Shallow . In the picture I just finished putting it loosly in so the gap between the Sub-box and upper lip is no longer there once screw together .

All wood , no glass or bondo

i didn't feel like reading all 3 pages so i will just tell you what i did. i have a 12" pioneer premier shallow sub in my 83. it handles 1400 watts max, i have a 1000 watt amp on it. and it hits hard as hell. i paid only 150 bucks for the sub brand new. and the interior of the 83 and 84 trucks is a lot smaller than the 86-93s. you just have more head room in the pre86s. shallow subs are freakin sweet for standard cab minis!
