I was jus thinkin bout this thread yesterday. I was thinkin bout what i wanna do with mine. I wanna shave the interior door handle n put a button somewhere inside to pop the solenoid to open the door. I think it'd be awesome. kinda cool for the passenger too

hey bodied. there is a guy around here that i know that done the shaved interior handles like your talkin. and electric windows. his alt died and battery and he was locked inside his truck for awhile. needless to say. handles got put back in real quicklike. along with a new side window.

haha thats hilarious. He shoulda jus pushed the rear window out. I can think of a bunch of ways to get out of my truck if that happened. Call someone and get em to give me the tools to unbolt the ext cab window... I'm not to worried bout that, and i prolly wont do electric windows. I'd like to but i have no clue how or how hard. Thanks for the heads up though!! Never thought of that

Hay Mikey well here is a few questions I have for u.. U say CA glue? Got anymore info on this special stuff I have been trying glues and havent found anything worth wild Im trying to do doorpanels and the spray glue I use Sucks....

2nd Dooor panels did u just drill out the clip holes? and can u take a better picture of that for me?

ALso what is the black wrap u used around the doorpanel before fiberglassing like a hair net whats it called?
When fiberglassing can I buy a can of fiberglass bondo and use that and sand it down?

Thx may be dumb questions but it would help me alot thx man..

ok lets see if i can help out. the ca glue is cyanoacrylate glue which is no more than a kick ass super glue with a spray activator that makes it bond instantly. heres a link . i used it to glue the speaker frames and grill cloth. you can use a simple spray can of adhesive and staple the backside of the panel. i used the factory panels as template for the new one. marked it with a sharpie, used 2 different drill bits and then cut between them to connect them so the clip can go in and slide over. as for the grill cloth its the same stuff thats on home tower speakers. heres a link then after the form is done, you just mix up fiberglass resin and brush it on the grill cloth. then do a couple of layers of fiberglass and resin on that. then grind it down sorta smooth then bondo. let me know if i missed anything

just make sure if your not gonna paint you have a heat gun and good strecthable vinyl, because having a speaker pod in a corner is near impossible to wrap. especially if its ,leather ,suede ,just my 2 cents since there isnt finished pics
