I've been meaning to post some pics of my truck getting painted so here they are. From stock new fenders were added and shaved. A 95-97 Tacoma 4X4 bumper and valance. Harley mirrors and color matched door handles and pilars. Suprisingly enough for being a Canadian truck there was only a handful of small rust spots under the fenders and on the rad support. I'll post more pics of the progress tomorrow night. These are form Thurs of last week. I also had a chance to finally cover my monitor bezel. Color was off but the grain matched the dash perfectly. Mixed some dye tonight and will spray tomorrow.

I just made the panel. The complete system is actually for sale right now. It includes a 6.4" LCD TFT monitor w/tv tuner/remote, Audiobahn DVD/MP3/CDR Player w/remote, custom made monitor bezel and all of the wires that you'll need. Here's the panel before it was shaped.

If your interested in the video system, check the parts section.

Once we got the front end off and started to see what was there and started to really look at the rest of the body we noticed alot of stuff. It has been in an accident but it was fixed almost properly. The rad support was replaced and the pass side was pulled out. Its perfect, but the roof was cheesed. It had to be completly stripped along with the doors, hood and cowl. It had been painted about 4 times all at different stages with many different products. A huge pain in my ass and my wallet. Luckly the owner is nice enough and lets me in after hours to work on it. With the roof setback it will be an extra 3 days for me to get it ready for paint.

Its 1/8" hardboard or sometimes called danish hardboard. Available at any Home Depot. I made one flat piece that was the shape of the origional plastic bezel and then where ever it curved I glued another piece of 1/8" hardboard to the back of the panel. Then I sanded and shaped it to curve with the dash. I did have to use some filler to get the right slope up to the gauge cluster housing.
