lol Seth that's the first thing I thought! Camber shouldn't be an issue because the wheel will stay near vertical throughout range. but handling will be weird or what will happen? Looks awsome hope it works out!

thanks for the comments.
they are nearly equal length arms. the way the spindle is - the lower ball joint is about an inch farther out than the upper, but the inner pivots are exactly verticle. i will get some camber gain, which is necessary to tuck the tires inside the fenders.
how long? hard to say, i'll be moving most of this week and weekend, and probably next week, so i won't be working on it too much, plus i'm waiting on new balljoints. i still need to mill out the a-arm tubes and set it up so it lays on a 26" tall tire and the ball joints won't bind, tack up the frame clip, and then get to town chopping up the stock frame.
then i gotta finish making new motor mounts, to lower the motor as much as possible, and redo my steering and brake lines, i'm going to run a rack and pinion, so i'm ditching my steering box and rods and crap. ha ha if anyone wants it... pay for shipping lol.

I've got an article on Ackerman you might want to take a look at before installing the rack and pinion. It might help you decide where you want to put it.

And as long as you get close to 5 degrees camber change throughout the travel, with 1 degree at about ride height you will be just fine and it will handle well.

Since you're going to bodydrop it more, have you thought about just building a full frame and stock flooring it the rest of the way?

i'll have to check out that article. pm me.
yes i'm planning on building a full frame and going with 2x4 main rails. that'll put me about 3/4" from being door'd, (building it as time permits.) my wife talked me into doing just the front clip now. i gotta tub the firewall and i wanna shave it completely and relocate everything behind the dash.
got my ball joints today, so it's on!!

got some progress pics here...

... and the new

getting installed...

turns out the stock steering won't work with the new front end, so i sectioned the column 9 1/2 inches and made it non collapsable, and it doesn't protrude thru the firewall anymore. it took a few cuts to figure out where i actually needed to cut it,

and welded back together... its not done, that's just the first pass on there, still gotta fill a bit more, but didnt' want to get it hot and smoke the bearing. i still gotta weld the housing back on. i'll do that tomorrow.

i decided to pinch the frame rails in so i can have more wheel/tire clearance, and not have to notch the frame for the bag. the outside to outside measurement is 27" where the stock one was like 29-30" i think.
i still have to make shock mounts and bodymounts and bumperbrackets for the front end. i think i might just tub my firewall now, while its all apart.
