the very first reply from v8mazda4ever says "you need to run a pan hard bar and the only time the rearend is truly centered is at were you set evrything in a"
that's a good reason. another is pinion angle change. a 2link with a panhard bar would work well with coilovers or something that gets Extremely limited travel because of those 2 reasons.
its not that great with bags over axle either, but your planning on putting the bag on the bar and multiplying the lift... in turn that'll multiply how far side to side your axle will move, and how much your pinion angle will change, not to mention that your panhard bar will make your 2 longitudinal bars bind with enough lift. plus when you go in and out of inclined driveways it'll bind and you'll spin your tires.
go with a 4link.

I know you are set on a 2 link but please do not put the bags on the bars if you must run a 2 link put them on axle as it will be safer that way. I know that the 2 link is set in your head but think abit more on the 4 link you will be way happier with it.

just because a 2 link is "Cheap and easy" does not make it right by any means. when you have a solid link setup like that it allows no articulation at all. so what gives when your axle needs to move? perches, bars, frame... going the cheap and easy route is always more expensive and time consuming in the long run. do it the right way the first time and call it a day.

I watched someone drive my truck when it was two-linked and it dog-tracked horribly. It was so bad i thought my frame was bent. Then i 4-linked it and the problem was solved. I my 2-link would made the diff 2inches away from center at its worst... Someone will sell you a 4 link on here for cheaper than retail of a two link. Speaking of which. I need a 4 link for my new project. Anyone got one?

i just watched that video. I never realized that its ok to make your upper and lower links different lengthes. Ive always tried to make them within 2 inches of each other. So its ok to have them like that?

its ok to run them the slightest bit shorter like an inch or too. That will make it so your rear axle pulls forward just the slightest bit when laying out. If you run them too short they will bind up and restrict your lift to minimal or none.
b22bmber, glad to see you want to do it the safe/right way!
