i just bought a new carb on ebay for 54 bucks. seems like i keep having carb problems with everything. damn carbs. here are some pics...

ummm, riggghhhttt!!! hahaha.

well i got that little bastard in today and got it all hooked up. and dizamn! i finally got this little bitch timed some what right, just have to mess with the carb a little but this little beast hauls ass! i had to take off the water choke and install the electric choke but other than that it was perfect. and it was brand new for 50 bucks! i put my timing light on her and got her right on the money but i still have some fine tuning because she still wants to diesel for some reason. it is really starting to piss me off a bit. oh, and i think my damn ignition switch is starting to go out. damn, if it isn't one thing it's another i guess. another 80 bucks about to go down the drain.

how do you know the ignition switch is going out? I might be having that same prob....

i will be driving and it will just die. all electrical will shut off except for the headlights and stuff. just the interior stuff. and then i have to turn the key a few times to get it to fire back up. hey man, you should look for a 32/36 dfav on ebay. they come with water chokes so you will need to get the electric choke for it. or the manual choke which is what i like, just haven't ordered yet. very nice.

ya I believe either the starter or my ignition switch has died. Because like you said all of my interior lights are cut off even my dash lights but yet my head lights come on.
