It only looks big because there is no kickup before the "notch" liek on a factory frame. He wanted the rails to extend out as far as possible before shooting up, and then go straight back, because he doesn't like the look of a notch, which made it pretty simple for me. It only took me about two hours to build the backhalf and square it and weld the joints. It is 14.750" from the ground to the bottom of the rail, which will lay on a 26.5" tall tire. Which is a small-ish 20" tire.

How did you do the 5-lug swap? Toy spindles or did you adapt the Nissan spindle to accept a Toyota hub? Also, sweet welds. Are you using a TIG?

I put the Toyota hubs on the Nissan spindle. Same way Max does it. I actually called him to ask about it when I was at the junkyard just to clarify.

Some of the welds are TIG, some are MIG. Thank you.

Looks sweet man. The backhalf looks pretty awesome with those gussets.

A guy in our club that seems to have a BS excuse for every show we go to that is more than 30 minutes away. We give him a lot of shit, and he just gave us another BS excuse about not going to Reso because its his dads birthday. He used the same excuse for Drop Zone this year.

Had a custom drive shaft made, that goes from Nissan flange, to Spicer clip yoke, to Toyota flange.

These look a little phallic at the moment, but it will make sense soon.

I am borrowing a tube notcher tomorrow, since mine has not showed up, so that I can build the 4-link, and get it TIG welded.

So while I have that notcher I am going to notch the tubing for your wishbone Marcus. That way I can FINALLY get it done. I ordered mine 3 weeks ago..

Don't forget the lathe and dimple dies. Lol.

I've spent a lot of money on tools lately. It seems to make more sense than spending it on my truck. I'm still waiting on my tube notcher. I'm also looking at upgrading my bandsaw, drill press, and press. And also getting a sheetmetal brake. Ahh, I can't get enough tools!
