It will sit .125" off the ground laid out, so bolt heads on the bottom = no bueno.

And heres whats going on under the truck.


I finished installing the 2x3 rails today, and everything is tacked in. Its still rough, but that will change. Tomorrow = lots of grinding and welding. And I still have to box the transition at the front, which is why its open still.

You doing all this with the cab on? Is it like barely lifted off the jacks or what?

Yes everything is being done with the cab on. Its bolted in place. Helps keep the frame aligned a bit when cutting it up. But I also had cross braces under the frame where the cross members where, and I still have some on the back half to keep everything straight. Its pretty simple, just takes time.

Sounds awsome man, this is really up my alley far as what I will do if and when it comes time to do the 83.

Just make sure you have about 8 jackstands.
