Dude looks bitchin. Can't wait to get mine all finshed. Now I know how long mine is going to look. All you need to do now is get a 4 door cabin!!!!!!

LOL thanks man.. Na, no 4door for me !! dont like dual cabs hay !! space cabs all the way I reckon !!!

You'll love the length man, I'm stoked I did it now !! was a bit undecided at first but a mate of mine sorta pushed me to do it !! I'm now so glad he did.. they look so much better I reckon, this is how mazda should have made them.. They just look right..

on a side note..
Theres a dualcab long bed forsale here at the moment.. looks OK, I'm just not a fan of dualcabs ..
it's forsale on a forum here called DUT () in the forsale section..

Hey all,

Thought I'd do an update as it's been a while !!!

Firstly I ditched my "buddy" who was doing my welding for me as it was to much of a stuff around to get any work out of him and have in listed my neighbor to do the work for me !!
He's done more work in the last few days then that had been done since I started this project, even with a lot of the previous work now been redone by him (Vandermeer Engineering) as it wasn't up to his standards..

Were just concentrating on getting the stretch work, notching and front tubbing/firewall mods done before the new piss weak laws come in here in OZ... So We've redone the welding on the stretch work... Quick pic below

and because We've made my chassis from 2 chassis it had 2 center bearing support cross members so I remove the one that was closest to the front and left the rear member in place so that the rear
half of the tail shaft is standard and only the front half had to be modified... I sent the tail shaft off to Kreative Enterprises to have the front half made 45cm longer and I also had the bearing
in the center replaced... Pic of the shaft below.. Long hey !!! LOL...

The notches are now finished, I'll get some pix of them up soon...

I've also done a quick paint job of the cab in matte Black just for engineering and rego.. so heres a few pix of a quick mock up I did before starting the tub install and firewall mods...

Heres some test fitting of the new hand brake setup... needed this as theres no room for it anymore
at the firewall....

And heres the start of the tubs and some progress on the firewall I've moved the booster section over by 2"
it doesn't look like it in this pic but theres enough room there for my custom dual diaphram 7" booster..

I'll get some more pix as it progresses over the next few days....
