alright, I figured id start a thread and post pics as i go.

I got this 90 x-cab that was a hack job and didnt really see how bad it was until today when i started tearing it apart. whoever did the suspension make ALL of their own brackets from scrap steel they had laying around. all 4 bags are ruined from rubbing the brackets. The rear is mono leafed and both rear leafs are bent and warped bad. The wiring was pieced together and i dont have a clue how it ever ran.

what i accomplished today:

fenders are off
hood is off
bumper is off
grille is out
motor and tranny are out
all wiring that wasnt needed was removed.

i'll post pics tomorrow when i get batteries for the camera and keep posting as i go along.

this is the first mazda ive ever really worked on so i'll probably be needing help as i go along.

the bed is a mess and needs alot of attention

valves ran across the motor and exhaust header with rubber hose and hose clamps...the whole truck was plumbed with this hose and regular garage airhose.

heres a better shot of the duct taped front bag and homemade brackets...that looks safe
thread post photo

the core support has been bent out with what looks to be a cable or chain...why you ask? i dont have a clue

this is the wonderful inner fender trimming job that was done....it was cut and just folded up...

this is how she sits right now. the fenders, hood motor, tranny went to the scrap yard. valves, rubber airlines and all un-needed wiring went in the trash.
