Good choice on the Engine. There's a kid dating my lil sister with a Dyno'd 4.3 with 202 hp at the wheels. Not too bad. What sucks is its in an extended cab fullsize chevy, so its not quick at all, lol.

2 Mazdas ago, I was gonna drop a 4.3 in mine with a set of vortec heads and all the goodies, like cam, port and polish job, valve job, and an Edelbrock 750 cfm carb. I already had block hugger headers, and a 700R4 tranny too....but this was 5 years ago. So, thats all ancient history.

Very nice engine mounts btw.

When i buy the cando arms will i need to build a new cross member or will this one still work?

Does anyone have pics of the lower Cando arms installed? I'm kinda confused on how they install...i have an idea but not 100%.

truck looks good.... those the wheels your keeping?

i will probably keep them for now until i do the 5 lug conversion then probably give them or sell them to my dad. He's a dropped mazda owner himself! He wants to put a VW turbo diesel in his. They put them in Suzuki Samari's all the time so why not?! It would get hella mpg and would be more reliable and efficient than the stock motor. Plus you can make your own bio-diesel fuel! It would smell like a french fry driving down the road but how cares...your driving on free fuel! haha

Seth posted something about pre 84 rearends being 4.5" narrower. Try that.

I've got chrome eskies.

The only thing about that from the back of the drum to my frame is 4.5-5" already. I don't want to build a narrower back half. Would love to but time and money is handicapping me.

Also this guy is running mustang II upper and lower control arms with rack and pinion steering. Will the upper and lower arms bolt on with little or no modification? If so i can get a set of these from $269.
