Thats pretty nuts youve never seen snow.

No, I have seen the snow in the foothills here in Cali, but I have never seen it come from the sky and never more that 3 ft deep. Here we even have those snow making machines so that the base is thick enough for skiing/ snow boarding. I also went to Chicago for business and it was so f'n cold. It was my first trip out of California (at 27 yrs old)and my dumb ass gets off the plane in shorts and a short sleeve shirt. Beleive me, I could not get to a store fast enough!

I just got back from the junk yard again. Got that primo bumper and the tailgate. The tailgate is so nice. I probably won't shave it. Also I got another set of windsheild trim, the rest of the dash inserts, chrome door handles, some weather stripping and some msc bolts plastic clips etc. I was bummed when I got there though, Some ass-hat had parked one of those huge carts in front of the truck and scraped up the bumper's paint. Its nothing I can't fix, but now it needs to be painted. I started to take the plastic trim for the pillars, but it was so brittle, it was breaking as I removed it. I love half price day! I paid 62 dollars for everything.

Ok...here are the door panels:

I am gonna recover them in grey velour in old school tuck and roll. The seats will get inserts to match.

Damn your garage is packed full. Good deal on the parts from the junkyard, those door panels look new.

The suspension is going to take some time to sort out. There are a couple of problems.
1) Rear shocks are mounted too low and are bottomed out. I will add a crossbar upper mount, new custom valved Bilstien shocks from RCD racing and new, shorter lower mounts.
2) The lower 3-link bars are mounted below the scrub line. (This means when I drag, the heims hit the ground first ) I have to re-drill the mounting tabs and move the heims up about an inch/shorten the mount.
3) No front shocks. I will fab some mounts and add new custom valved Bilstien shocks from RCD racing.
4) The valves are WAY too fast for this truck! I haven't decided yet if I will just add some slow down valves to the exaust or replace the dumps with 3/8"
5) I want to plate the frame with 5/16" in front of the 3-link attachments and at the front cab mounts for some serious drag sessions.
