well a bit of an update here me and dad got motivated and decided to work on the ute to get it running so we pulled the head off gave it a complete rebuild, new head gasket, rocker cover gasket, exhaust and intake gaskets and got it all back together and it now runs and is driveable it blows a bit of blue smoke but we only put cheap shitty oil in to run a few times then wer guna do an oil change so hopefully that will get all the shitty sludgey oil out that was left after draining, im so stoked it runs now the real work can start woohoo cheers Appsy1
