Shouldn't you paint the pieces as they sit on the truck?? You shouldn't paint the doors layin down like that cuz of the way the paint sits as it dries. .

Try not to take to much offense to this, but...

You asked if you should paint the pieces as they sit on the truck, then you say not to paint the doors laying down because of the way paint dries??? Do you know what you are talking about or not?

Anyway, here is my response. This is a solid color, obviously black. There is no metalic, pearl, flake, candy, ect. So laying the doors down is not an issue at all. Should I have turned the truck on its side to paint the roof??? As far as painting the panels as they sit on the truck goes... there is no issue with doing them seperate either. How would you get paint into the jambs? As a matter of fact the fenders, hood, valance, and bed are not sprayed yet. I could see wanting to do everything at the same time if you are spraying a metallic or pearl as you would want the consistancy of the mix to be equal. However, back to the fact this is the simplest paint in the world...BLACK. Nothing added in, no pearl, flake, metalic.

Everyone else, thanks for the comments!

Just so everyone knows, the reason I haven't been able to keep the build updated is... I moved. I have been moving from one side of town to the other since christmas eve when I got the keys to the new house. It's about a 35 miles drive, and I have been doing the move with my Titan and Accord. Many, many trips later I am almost done. All I have left to do is the frame and bed of the truck. And just like the truck build, I have done 95% of the move by my self. Here is some proof, because as they say on the . or it didn't happen"
