The photoshoot went well. They shot 3 trucks, including mine, for minitruckin in the studio on Friday. I needed to be there before 2pm, and I am 6 hours away. I pretty much pulled late nighters all week on the truck. I finished up the truck around 2:30 am Thursday (Friday morning), then attempted to power nap until 5:00am (which didn't work). I rolled out of bed with no sleep, loaded everything up and hit the freeway about 6:45am. Went straight there, passed the hotel I was staying at by the FFF show by an hour and a half, and finally rolled in to the studio about 1:00pm. I attempted to sleep on the concrete floor while they finished up one of the other trucks (which didnt work either). After the photo shoot I had to drive back to the hotel I was staying at for the show. Its about 60 miles away, so with the California Friday rush hour traffic it only took about 2 and a half hours. I nearly fell asleep multiple times. Finally got to the hotel around 9:00pm. Checked in, got some food, and hit the sack. I slept for about 14 hours. It was great!
The show was a good show all around. Lots of cool cars and trucks, and cool people. I was a little upset when I rolled in with my truck. They put me in the mild class. I only have a roll pan, but they count adjustable suspension and a body drop and body modifications. So I knew a trophy was now out of the question. Oh well. The truck did pull a pretty good croud. Talked to a bunch of people about it and everyone seemed to like the truck. So after awards I hit the road again and finally returned home around 12:30am. All in all a great weekend!!! I am so happy to not have a deadline anymore for the truck. I still have some more plans for it, so I am not done working on it...
