I think a mild z would be worth it if you plan on running tires taller than 24".

im runnin 17 inch eskies so it will prob be about 21 inches or so

Its great to see some more sweet pre '85s popin up. I just wish mine was in as good as shape as some of the ones on this site. I should be gettin all the stuff to bag mine this weekend so I too will be debating on Z'n my frame or not. Love the trucks man.
