I just got my box back into the shop from out back and am wondering what i am going to do. What kind of tubs are those?
mazdawg(mikey)   +1y
Thanks for all the kind words guys. You all know that's what drives us to keep going. It makes me feel like I'm going in the right direction and to keep on going.

I don't know what yall got up your way skrapinsask but I got the tubs from northern tool here locally. They call them jeep style. The are open on both sides so I did have to cap the inside. They were only line $30 each. I would have used some factory stuff if I had a usable set but both sets I had and the inside walls were fubar.I didn't want to buy a 3rd bed just to get this thing together so I opted to go this way. I'm still up in the air about doing a rollpan or skinning the rear. I'm thinking bout taking a section of tailgate to my guy at the machine shop (who makes my rollpans) and see if he can make me either a tailgate skin or a full skin.

Dude,
Simple roll pan an a Mazda stamped gate would be the shit. I wouldn't even shave the handle. Don't skin it, everyone does that.

I've been toying with the idea of putting the ford off of a ranger gate in mine but its not quite like a courier. If I could get the stamped section off of a courier gate shipped from australia ill do that. I just can't do a stamped mazda gate with a ford front

You know what might be cool is the stamped logo off a vintage ford, either the script or the block letters from a seventies truck.
mazdawg(mikey)   +1y
That would be pretty cool. Now I gotta find one and see how much they cost.

Man I wish I would've put the stamped tailgate I had for sale on here. It was from a 50s truck, but I ended up scrapping it because no one wanted it.

dude i love everything on this truck. its all so clean and everything you've done to it looks like it was meant to be that way. this is probably one of my favorite trucks. i cant wait to see what crazy thing you come up with next.
