What is the width of your console? That's very nice work!

Brad I can get you some measurements, its wider at the front towards the dash and narrows at the back. Where you want the measurements from?

Then I acquired some 2wd Sheetmetal.

Of course for the bed stuff to fit, I had to swap the rearend. I bought a rear out of an 84 longed Mazda.

And of course my luck, the rearend is too narrow!

I ordered some 1" spacers to fix that. So I reused the same link bars or course and used new tabs and bag brackets on the rearend to make it easier. I'd be damned if I was gonna cut off and reuse that old stuff.

New rearend in with the spacers. I welded the 84 end of the driveshaft onto my 88 driveshaft for now to get it running. I've got another driveshaft in the works.

Southeastern mini nats was coming up and I didn't have time to complete the 2wd swap so I threw the 4wd stuff back on. I did some red treatment to the primer to change it up a bit. I figured it would be better to show up with a full truck instead of 2wd fenders and no bed.

Once back from the show I cut the 2wd bed apart to make sure it fit. Of course it fits like a champ. So onward with all of the swapping. Here it is with the bed sat on it

Since the pic I've sold the 4wd fenders and the 2wd fenders are back on. I'll post more when I start on the bed

Looking good Mikey. Go ahead and stretch it and put a std cab bed on it!

Good work, it all looks nice. I especially like the console you built and at a quick glance, in the picture you posted with the gold bed cutout just sitting over the truck made me take a double look because it resembled our build, now we kinda have the same color scheme going on... gold bed, dark colored roof, primer, 20's
