i started off with a 3 1/2in metal/wood hole saw, then switched to a 3in air grinder disc with a nut/bolt combo in the end of my drill to size the holes out some, and finished off using one of the flapper discs on my 4 1/2in grinder to fine tune the holes to the right size... took several to/from the truck with the grill to make sure i wasnt going too far... i did oversize and oddly shape one or 2 of the holes... im not perfect at making circles
