^^^ this guy... right here... to the mf rescue with some parts last night. i really appreciate it jason you were really a huge relief of stress for me yesterday. and running low is freakin tits! i love the old school look is has (but when you repaint it, i think you should totally re do the peach color!)

jason brought me the hood off his convertible, a new grill for me to be able to remake another custom one to fit my lights, and a passenger side 4x4 fender. i will be waiting on the grill until i have money for fiberglassing stuff so i can redo it, and i'll have to figure out what my plan is for putting the hood on, since i dont have a stock latch anymore, i'll have to drill some holes so i can go back to using the hood pins

you're good, i'll contain my urges. if anyone else ever has the chance, they really need to check out that truck in person, it will blow your mind guys. it really is a time period piece, the likes of which i've only seen in few pictures, and pictures just cant do the truck justice.

ok, so i already posted some after i fixed the damage pictures, with body pieces mounted except the hood, i only took a few pictures while i was fixing the truck so forgive me, i was more focused on really needing it back together for work.

i got the core support very close back to straight, tapped a few other areas straight with a mini sledge and other things to help re shape

i did manage to save the quad rounds, had to straighten out the passenger light to core support bracket, and a few of the bulb retaining rings, but otherwise they came out pretty straight too.

i now have the hood on the truck, secured by hood pins, thinking of doing hood pins at the rear and not using the hinges at all... might be interesting.

damn leland cant catch a break that sucks i think you spent more time refixing things than doing more mods good refix thow

thats what i keep saying... if i didnt have to keep repairing damage that wasnt my fault i might actually be able to make some forward progress on the truck...

i went to the junkyard today, snagged me 2 hood release cables (what i had mounted for my mechanical pulls until the passenger was shattered and cable stretched when i had the front pass tire blow out, and the drivers broke), i snapped off the corner marker sections off an already broke grill, got some new corner marker housings, and believe it or not, there happened to be a 76 honda accord, same color as the one that i got my quad rounds off originally and snagged me the mounting brackets/headlight buckets so i have an extra set... just in case...

oh, and i picked up a pair of BMW projector headlights, and with a little modification to the mounting bracket, the headlight bucket, and shaving off the BMW mounting tabs, they fit nice in the accord buckets/brackets.

Well at least it's starting to look more like it used to man. I'm interested in seeing how those BMW lights look in there. Are you gonna try and make the grille the same as before or different?
