i'm gonna try to do it close to the same, but make some changes as to how i do it to make it easier, and see if i can do it where it doesnt have the sag right under the hood across the middle like the last one. it will probably be a few months before i do anything about the grill as nightly temps here have already dropped to freezing a few times and i know fiberglass isnt going to cure well with the cold cold temps we've been having. plus i need to save up money for all the stuff i will need for the fiberglassing to begin with. the bmw lights should be ready for install withing a few days, but i will wait to put them in cause i still need another bulb (or just replace both with new ones), only problem i currently have with the bmw ones is that they use 9006 bulbs (single filament) and i'm curious to know if the H13 (dual filament) will fit in the bmw lights so i can still run a high/low out of the outer lights, and keep the inner lights as my ignition triggered fog lights... otherwise i'll only have low beams...

Ok, so the wiring that ran the yellow fogs (single filament, and wont shut off current when the high beams are turned on) is wired to the new projectors. The original double filament outer lights got yellow painted like the previous.fogs and are wired still as low/high beams.

Thinking about ordering some 10k hids for the projectors...

Nice man, the projectors are a nice touch. If you can get some Euro bmw "smileys" later on that would be boss.

I actually wanted a set originally but I didn't want to spend $300 and not be able to work them... But now that I know the bmw lights will work if I shave off all the bmw plastic mounts and trim off the extra plastic pieces around the light so its just the headlight housing by itself... The inners look like they should work with no modification, or very little. Gonna order some hids hor the projectors this week.

Also thinking about maybe building a sheet metal grill...

ok, so i got my HID's in the mail today, went ahead and got them installed... look great, cant wait to see what they look like at night... i went to take a pic but i cant get a good shot of the lights on with it showing color... its just so much light that the camera cant pick up on them well...

oh... and i now have to replace my bumper as my buddy's gf who knew i was parked behind her, but she wasnt thinking when she went to run for lunch and backed into my bumper...

if it aint one thing, its another...

the ones i ordered (9006 upgrades since the BMW projectors use a 9006 single filament) were 35.99 plus 15.99 shipping (even tho they apparently only ship USPS Priority, even tho their site says they ship either FedEx or USPS but give no option to choose one over the other at checkout, and if you call them, their customer services tells you they only ship USPS). i ordered them the last day of their black friday weekend sale where they discounted the lifetime warranty from $20 to $10, and could have upgraded to slim ballasts for only $10 more, but i chose to get the lifetime warranty only. they do suggest getting a relay for the new lighting/ballasts, but since i already had one wired in place i just used it instead of paying $15 for a prewired relay. hell a relay is only like 6 bucks, and if need be i tend to keep a spare couple spools of 14ga wire anyway...
