You found a new cab atleast, but that original cab was not T-Boned. It was in either one of two things a ROLLOVER(Likely) or something dropped on it either a Tree, construction debris etc etc.

You can tell by the lower bends on the Center pillar and the front windshield post, most likely if you stripped the drip rail you would find a cut mark. When a car is T-boned or a Mazda pickup is T-Boned the creases in the post/pillar will look alot different and would not need upper roof rail replaced. Made a smart move replacing cabs. That thing would have caused headaches.

NC4LIFE-- The chrome trim was dented and all scratched up. Would not have been worth saving. Plus that was the only chrome piece the truck had on it. I have a complete set on the new cab that is in great shape. I got some of the floor welded in last night and will have it done this week. For some reason this place (work) keeps wanting me to leave my shop . Better then unemployed!!! Pics to come soon.

Good progress, At least you didn't get too far on that blue cab before realizing the covered up problems it had. Looking forward to the upcoming progress.

I am working days yesterday and today and nights tue and wed then off for 4 days. I might come in for some OT this sat and sun so I may only get 2 days to work on the mazda. I am pushing to have the cab on and most of the floor in. After that the cab comes back off and gets seem sealed. Still need to mock up motor and tranny, Oh I guess I forgot to tell you this part... I am building a dropped X-member so I can lower the motor down more for clearence. Does anyone know how far the motor can come down before it interferes with the steering arm in front of the X-member. I have 2" to play with for motor height with this new X-member but I don't know how far the front of the motor/oil pan is from stock motor height to the steering arm. Can someone maybe measure theres for me??? Thanks guys!! I will have pics up either LATE tonight or tomorrow of the new frame rail covers welded in on the floor and maybe the new X-member.
