Maz2low- Were you suggesting a traditional body drop or to stock floor body drop? Either way I didn't want to go traditional because I hate losing the head room and I don't care for the way it looks when the door is open. As far as a stock floor, this will be a daily driver and didn't want to go that far with it but it just got a little out of hand and have done a few more things then planned. I like the channeled design because it keeps your head room and I am only losing 1 1/2" of floor to get it to the pinch compared to almost 3" on a traditional. My cousin owns an upholstery shop (and is a hot rodder) and we have came up with several ideas to make the floor look almost stock!
I have a 79 Chevy C-10 that is stock floored to the doors that I am building for my more radical ride.
Thanks everyone for your support and comments with the mazda. I got the cab on today but have to raise my tranny tunnel about an inch right at the firewall so that will be delt with tomorrow. Thanks again
