Thanks for all the great comments!! Keeps a guy motivated!!
Outkastmunkey- I'm not sure stretch will even make it to a show this year. Tired of pushing it everywhere.lol. Don't think I'll take it to a show until its running. Still have all my stainless lines to build and run. I was hoping for lowdown or sittin pretty (which is no more) but I truly can't say when it will be at a show??? Sorry. Don't worry though, it will be posted on here when she first fires and goes on her maiden voyage!!

Ok everyone...... What can I do about my lightly rust covered header to make it go with this freshly painted motor?? Thought about wrapping it but don't really like that look (but if that's the best way then I'll do it). The high temp paint NEVER works, at least not for me. But I'm open to any ideas!!

Don't worry I can't judge mine isn't making it to a show this year either. I need to finish the frame run all air, brake, gas lines mount gas and air tanks. Get a drive line made. Man I don't even know if it will make it next year maybe I'll do one by pushing it onto a trailer.

They sell some header/manifold paint at AutoZone I've used and worked great for me. It comes in black and ceramic it's a bit pricey for a can but looks original when you're done after a good sand job.

You could have it powder coated. My buddy that's building a 32 ford had his headers and full exhaust powder coated with a chrome looking color they called chrome coat. It turn out great and it still looking good.

Just an idea. Powder coat should take the heat better than paint.

://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/13/ybarudah.jpg doesn't get much more redneck then this!! ://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/13/qypygeda. to do a little cut and tuck but I got 245/35/20 to fit and clear at full drop in back!! 225/30 up she's stashed away for couple weeks while I do my dually motor.

://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/13/nu8ydany.jpg oh and I had my buddy shave the lips off my 20's for a smoother look. Plus the 225/30's looked funny with a lip sticking out. Really made tires look stretched. And he shaved 3/16 off mounting surface for front wheels. Little more room to tuck front wheels

Holy shit this thing is looking great. Its been a while since ive seen any updates on this project and its really impressive. Whats the name of the gray paint? Looks killer, I plan on painting my Tbird real similar to the gray you have chosen.

Lowlyfe- it's a 2007 Lexus charcoal grey granite.

Thank you everyone for the support. I'm having the upper a arms, steering box, brake booster repainted by the new shop since they were done to dark from the last shop. Plus they don't sparkle and pop like the rest of the parts!! Probably do that while I'm doing the motor swap in dually. Probably be a couple weeks before any updates.
Until then......
