and that will make the corner lights work as running lights and turn signals?

No.
It just swaps the turns to the corners, and vice versa.

If you want running lights and turns in the corners, you'll have to change the sockets.

well its illegal not to have running lights so i would like to have both.

if you want reliability dont buy the POS 1157 socket/pigtail replacements they have at schucks/autozone/kragen/o'reillys. THEY SUCK. ive been thru both the chevy and ford 1157 socket replacements and they fail everytime. nothing like a factory 1157 socket/pigtail. i took mine out of the brake light sockets on a junkyard dawg. removed my old socket from the lense housing, opened the hole up for the tail light brake socket to fit and hard wired that into the running light/turn signal/ground wiring for each respective side up front. instead of just pluging in some connectors to change what your lights do in which spot like the wiring below shows. you would hardwire both the positive from the bumper turn signals to the high beam wire of the tail light socket, the low beam wire on the tail light socket to your factory running light wire, and the ground to a ground... i would show you my wiring, but its the replacement socket wiring from my mazda taillight socket/pigtail up to the under hood factory wiring.... different colors and whatnot...

i work at schucks so i've seen those replacement sockets all the time and i thought about using them but like most everything we sell its all crap. napa is one of the only part stores that has quality stuff. i might make a run down to the junk yard and see if i can find something that will work. thanks leland. i'll probably ask you a bunch of questions when i try to wire everything up. i'm really excited to do it though. i love wiring. i could do it all day.

i used a couple of the tail light/brake light sockets out of the junk yard... was really easy... i havent had any probs at all with the factory sockets. im sure you could wire the single filament bulb to work as running and turn signal... i was able to wire my fender markers, which are like the 193 single filament bulbs to work as a running light and turn signal. it flashes opposite of my front turn signals tho... kinda like mikeys aussie bumper signal fog light ones... the wig wag... my fenders wig wag with my front turn signals... i think i wired the positive of the single filament to the running like circuit positive, then plugged the negative into the positive of the turn signal before it goes to the turn signal bulb...

i'll try to find time to go down to the pull a part and see if i can figure this whole thing out. in the mean time i'm still trying to get work done on the bed. brought the sides home from the shop today. i almost have them ready to mount onto my bed. just need to take care of some surface rust and get rid of the under coating stuff on them. after that i can cut apart my bed and get everything mounted up nice then off to paint. if any of you guys are free sometime in the next few weeks you should come out and give me a had. theres probably only and hour our two of work left on them before i can cut my sides off my bed.

might be getting a new mazda too while this one is getting body work done on it. parents want me to have a 4wd car for the snow. so i'm either looking in to getting a 1988 mazda 323 gtx which would be freaking awesome to have or my dad wants to get a '94 b3000 for me to drive. i would rather have the gtx rally car but i'm not going to be the one paying for it so what ever i end up with is fine with me.

work on the truck has been super slow. still trying to get work done on the bed sides to get them ready to swap onto my bed. if anyone in the seattle area is free next week you should stop by and help me out. still need to grind a little and i need to primer the backs of them to get the rust under control. i'll try to get some pictures .

i've been kinda lazy lately. the bedsides are all cleaned up and just need to be put on the truck and the new tailgate i got is almost ready for primer so stuff is still happening with the truck its just going super slow right now. i'll keep you guys posted on everything and i start finishing it all.

oh and if anyone wants to help me put these bedsides on that would be awesome.

lol okay north west guys this is the third time he has hinted that he has no idea what he is doing with putting the bedsides on and he needs help. that and or he just needs help holdin them up haha. somebody help the poor guy.
