i want to do something cool and right now that seems like the coolest thing but i feel like too many people have done it. i want to do something outrageous that no one has ever done before.

these trucks have been around for along time and whatever you can think of its been done. youre not gonna find anything outragious to do to these anymore. just build it how you like it and thats all that matters. are you wanting to stand out in the minitruckin community or around where you live at? i tell you taking a bagged and bodied truck anywhere in town gets mad looks. even stopping to get gas at the store takes 20 mins for answering questions (which gets old). and the minitruckin community can appreciate a cleanly built truck instead of a "themed" truck. build it so that years from now it didnt go out of style and you have to rebuild it.

Mikey is right. My roadster has been painted over ten years and I still get compliments on the paint. Pick something timeless and your truck will have better longevity.

if you do a fighter plane look i think you need to step it up a notch and put a working jet turbine in your truck and have that be the functional powerplant... hey look, my mazda minitruck can do 250+ mph!!! lol that would be awesome!!!

make a mazda dually. dont think thats been covered yet. you already have to do some bedside work, make a dually bed out of the 4x4 bed sides.

Bring back neons and the splatter paint. That is timeless. LOL Like they all say do what you want. If others say it's played out...oh well. DO they pay your bills, build your truck, support your family? Nope. So they don't really matter. As long as it makes you smile. For instance I will NOT run over an 18" on my truck...may even stick with good ol 16"...but that is part of the big picture for mine and will make more sense if built.
