Like I told cody, pop the door panel off and look inside at the bottom of the doors. Then just open the door regularly and stick your head under there and make sure the doors arn't rusted out. Also get up under the truck right behind the cab and take a hammer and smack the frame.
The doors are notorious for rusting in that spot, or the 2 little drains could get clogged and there ya go.
The frames on these right behing the cab are very notorious from rusting from the inside out. I know a couple people who have had the frame break in half.
Just lookin out, and SAVE the carb off that other 84 truck if it runs good.
