Here we are! Converting a 1988 Mazda Pickup into a total plug-in electric conversion!! Posting this in hopes that it may interest some people or possibly educate others in the process. I've learned a tremendous amount from others in various forums about EV Conversions, and, since the donor is a Mazda Pickup, thought it would be appropriate to post it here.
Some pics will follow and if more interest is sparked, then more detailed pics will/can be posted....JUST ASK!! And, if there are any questions about what we've done, then please don't hesitate to shoot me your questions. AND, if someone might want to give a little advice or 'constructive criticism', feel free...I'm all for an easier way to do something or a wicked new idea!
**NOTE: This is my first attempt at this, so I'm far from an expert at conversions (or forums.. )! I have built sport trucks and such since about '90, so this is DEFINITELY fun and a little different for me! (FYI...been wanting to do this for 10 years...finally got the chance thanks to the school I work at and the help from a few people that helped with a grant) THANKS TO ALL THAT HAS HELPED TO THIS POINT!! PEACE!

No clutch? Will the motor slow enuff when you let off to shift? oh and also what can you do to get better milage out of it?
