WOW, sounds like a whole bunch of fun. So, from what I have read.... the @#$% bypass hose leaked out the coolant and the engine overheated to the point of seizing. The temp gauge didn't move much because steam doesn't read the same as liquid water, cause the water was almost gone. ERRRRR.

On the up side, good oil change practices saved the rods, block, crank, oil pump and most everything else that is oil lubricated...

Sucks about the moped, but... obviously things could have been worse.

sorry bout the bad luck. now when i read the part of I-85 and going to Gaffney, i didnt know you were that close to me. its an hour or more away from me. i was there a few weeks ago doing an inventory. small world huh.
