Hey guys. Got started on baggin the rear of my truck!! im stoked. So far i've taken my bed off, cut off my shock mounts and muffler mount and ground them down. im making my own notches. i have them cut out and tackwelded together. gotta cut my frame next!!

plan is to do forward triangulated 4-link bag on bars. thinking about doing the bags on the upper bars. triangle notches. im gonna see if i can use my front leaf hangers. if not, i'll just put the bags on the bottom bars. This is my first time baggin the rear of anything so any advice would be very helpful. i more or less know what i need to do...just havent done it b4. im also trying to fab as much of it myself as i can while not making another hackjob road hazard. making my own notches, link bars, tabs, bag mounts...

heres a couple of pics...just cuz

only way to use your front leaf hangers is if you cut them shorter.... they will hit the groung before the frame lays out

3/4 " gets them even with the frame

yea i figured that. i just dont know if i like the idea of the bag being on the upper bar. and unless i put the lower bar at an angle...it will be under the frame.

you can move your tabs to the point where the frame starts to kick up, and your bars will be off the ground, but that'll give you really short bars = bad with an airbag setup. or build yourself a crossmember to house the new 4link tabs. nothing extravagant, but functional. this is mine for an example. don't mind that the frame is cut off just look at the crossmember

does the notch above the driveshaft clear the bottom of your bed? reason im asking is because my tank is mounted in the front of my bed...just wondering if i'll have to move it. and how long are your bars? and yes...very tight setup!!
